Chris Jericho was of course the first AEW World Champion but we might not have seen the last of Le Champion.
The ageing veteran continues to defy the years and if he’s not the athlete he once was, he remains in career best form in every other aspect of the game.
Massively over and beloved by fans even as a heel, you have to imagine he has one more babyface run, and one more emotional title victory, in him.
Perhaps The Inner Circle will finally realise they do more for him and he’s ever done for them and turn on their leader.
Having legitimised the title in AEW’s first year he doesn’t need a second lengthy run with the belt. This second win would be all about the big moment and allow him give the rub to a younger talent by dropping the belt to them shortly afterwards
