10 Future WWE Champions Currently On NXT

Having only returned to the WWE ring last month, it seems kind of early to be talking up EC3 as a future world champion. We don't even really know what sort of role he'll be playing down in Orlando just yet.

But let's look at his résumé. He's a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, helping to carry the often troubled promotion through some of its most difficult moments during his four-and-a-half-year stint in the Impact Zone between 2013 and 2018.

The world's leading wrestling promotion is, of course, an entirely different animal, but you only have to look at the success of AJ Styles for evidence that Vince and co value the experience of being a main event player elsewhere.

There's also the fact that he's a solid worker with decent mic skills and a bodybuilder look, a combination that goes a long way in WWE. Don't bank on it, but he could be a dark horse for a future title run.
