10 Genius Ways Wrestlers Proved The Critics Wrong

3. The Young Bucks Sell Like Michael Scott

The Young Bucks don't sell, says yer da
AEW

Where would wrestling be today without the Young Bucks?

It's an intriguing question, as Matt and Nick Jackson have already crafted a legacy in the business few other tag teams can compete with. As well as playing key roles in the founding of AEW, the Bucks' chaotic everything-everywhere-all at once style of wrestling - where they wrestle each match like their loved ones will explode if they don't fit in every single idea that pops into their heads - has led to some of the most wildly entertaining matches in wrestling history.

It's also encouraged the idea that Matt and Nick can't sell for toffee which is - respectfully - utter nonsense. Matt Jackson in particular has been selling the same back injury he picked up in NJPW for ???? ?????. A career spent being thrown about like an unwanted toy in a pram has led to Matt's spine being a more obvious weak spot than a glowing red button in a video-game boss fight, and Matt sells that peril to perfection in every big match he's in.

The Young Bucks may not be to everyone's tastes, but they didn't get to where they are through good luck and colourful tassels. They're damn good wrestlers first and foremost, and that includes the ability to sell like a weed dealer at Woodstock.
