Trish Stratus' WWE run could've come to a screeching halt when Vince McMahon made her bark like a dog on Raw in 2001. The controversial skit was so poorly-received that the promotion just pretend it never happened today. What's that? Trish was stripped to her underwear and paraded around arse in the air? Nope!

All the Diva bullsh*t that followed could've rendered Stratus one-note. She's clearly attractive, but there's more underneath the hood; Trish is also supremely intelligent, and was that even when lingerie and sex appeal were her main qualities as a TV character.

Here's the wonderful thing: Trish's spirit allowed her to continue battling behind the scenes for change. She helped force the company to start taking women's wrestling a little more seriously. The fact she achieved this during an era when 'T&A' was the law is remarkable.

Stratus' brains, diligent hard work and improvement as a pro wrestler eventually outweighed the eye candy stuff.
