10 Gimmick Ideas WWE Were Right To Turn Down

2. 'Mailman' (Big E)

Stop staring at the accompanying image if you can.

New Day member Big E admitted on WWE's 'The FCW Story' that he once pitched to become the promotion's walking, talking mailman. In fact, E wanted to be called 'Mal Mann' and run around chucking letters at everyone like he belonged on WWF Superstars in 1994.

It didn't go over well with anyone, and E is only too happy to agree that this wrestling version of Postman Pat wasn't exactly his best idea. Who knows what he was thinking, but one need only watch his bizarre hip gyrations and fondness for creepy looks on WWE TV now to see that E can make almost anything work. "Almost" anything.

A wrestling postman might've been going too far though. He would've become the first wrestler in history to notify champions that he was coming for their titles via written word, for example. Unfortunately for E, WWE weren't interested in making his dreams a reality.
