By his own admission during various interviews, The Godfather disliked what Right To Censor were doing. He actually didn't have a lot of time for Stevie Richards generally, and admits to making the poor dude's life a misery behind the curtain. Godfather wasn't a bully, but he could be pretty mean to folks he didn't like.

Imagine the man's horror when writers told him he'd be adding an extra 'o' to his name to become The Goodfather and joining RTC. Val Venis was in the same boat. He didn't really enjoy being part of the straitlaced, anti-everything group either. Score two members who wanted nothing to do with the gimmick then!

It feels like a pretty sick joke that Godfather ended up being part of a faction he didn't think had juice to begin with. That'd end up being his last proper full-time run with the company too, which probably makes things even worse. There was nothing good about RTC for The Goodfather.
