10 Gimmicks WWE Refuse To Give Up On

5. Brock Lesnar: The Final Boss

Now for a slight deviation.

This gimmick isn’t passed around with the frequency of a 'fun' or King persona, yet a couple of stars have had the honour thrust upon them and some on multiple occasions.

Triple H has stepped into the shoes of The Final Boss on a couple of occasions, providing John Cena, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins with a WrestleMania pay-off. The Game relishes the role of Ultimate Baddy as it gives him the chance to further elongate his words and establish that he is the man to beat in the company.

Another example of a conclusive obstacle, and perhaps the most notable one, would be that of Brock Lesnar. In recent years, he has played WWE's resident Thanos, with all who step before him being swatted like flies. AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor all didn't have enough to topple the Beast Incarnate, so when somebody actually did it would mean something.

Goldberg, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have all received the Lesnar-conquering rub in recent years and with him now reigning as your current WWE Champion, you can bet your ass that WWE will squeeze a few more programmes - involving a tyrannical Lesnar being overthrown on a big stage - out before his run with the company is over.
