10 Goldberg WWE Matches You Completely Forgot About

Rodney Mack's WWE career wasn't exactly one for the ages. Mack spent just one year on the WWE main roster, although he did spend the majority of that time managed by Theodore Long as part of Long's excellently-named Thuggin' and Buggin' Enterprises faction. It was Long who also instigated Mack's five-minute White Boy Challenge, which saw Mack face and squash a series of white opponents.

This streak came to a screeching halt on June 23, 2003, when the White Boy Challenge was answered by a man making his debut in Madison Square Garden. The man (obviously) was Goldberg, and as far as 26 second squash matches go this one was pretty darn fun.

Mack attempted to get a head-start on Goldberg but was speared through the pyro as a result, before being rolled down the ring and hit with a Jackhammer for the victory. Teddy Long could only stand and watch in amazement on the outside, as his charge's run was decisively ended. Rodney Mack's career didn't amount to a whole lot, but he will forever be the answer to the question of who was Goldberg's first ever Madison Square Garden opponent.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
