10 Great AEW Wrestlers Who'd Be Better Off In WWE

9. Jamie Hayter

In recent months, positive fan reactions seem to have forced AEW's hand when it comes to Southampton's main wrestling rep.

After a year of mostly playing henchwoman and second fiddle to Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter's finally getting to actually talk and perform as an individual. It's not quite the solo breakout and Baker feud many are hoping for but it is a start. Frustratingly, a feud with the best wrestling dentist since Isaac Yankem seemed to be on the cards until the arrival of Saraya.

While Baker butted heads with the former Paige at Full Gear, Hayter bagged the Interim AEW Women's Title. It's amazing how one little word like interim can totally undermine the value of the prize at hand. Hayter's win was tainted by Baker shenanigans, leaving many wondering how much longer this partnership might go on. A slow-burn angle has merits, but the decision to have Hayter essentially fob off the crowd support she's received seems counter-productive.

Based on former tag partner Blair Davenport's success in NXT, the arguably more talented Hayter could likely turn some heads with a move to WWE. Considering her size, strength and general intensity between the ropes, it's easy to picture WWE presenting Jamie as a vicious bully heel or, if the fan support's still there, a mighty, if slightly antiheroic, babyface.

After more than a year on major TV, it's safe to say Hayter could likely leapfrog NXT altogether as well. As a completely standalone singles star, her mettle could finally be tested properly.
