10 Great Forgotten Matches You Must Watch On WWE Network

9. Rey Mysterio Jr. VS Eddy Guerrero (WCW Halloween Havoc 1997)

WWE.comWWE.comThis is one of the greatest matches in wrestling history, period, in the minds of many, but because both men would go on to reach much bigger heights in the business, the match can still fit in the "forgotten" category. This is back when both men were still relatively new to the American wrestling audiences, with Guerrero being 30 years old and only two years into his first real stint with WCW, while Mysterio wasn't yet 23 years old, and had only been with WCW for ten months. It was one of the most fast-paced, frantic matches in WCW Cruiserweight history, which is covering a lot of ground, as both men wrestled like they had something to prove. The problem that all Cruiserweights had back then was WCW constantly pushing everything else while relegating the Cruisers to "you don't really have any storylines, but go out there and fly around for a few minutes" status on every show. That "something to prove" was both men wanting to win the crowd over, and they did just that, as their breathtaking aerial moves and crisp mat wrestling was fresh air on a card that featured "Rowdy" Roddy Piper VS "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan in a Steel Cage, as well as Miss Jacqueline VS Disco Inferno. Both men constantly brought the best out of each other, and would do so in every match they ever had, but this was their masterpiece.
