10 Great Tag Teams That WWE Must Sign Today
7. The Wolves
Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards have been wrestling together for close to eight years now. Starting-out in Ring of Honor, The (American) Wolves captured the promotion's Tag Titles twice before jumping ship to TNA in 2014, where they've won tag gold on 5 separate occasions.
Two of the finest wrestlers on the American indies, The Wolves actually came close to signing with WWE in 2013. After a week-long tryout at the Performance Centre, Richards and Edwards made their NXT debut in a lopsided loss to The Ascension, who were NXT Tag Champs at the time.
Both wrestlers bring strong elements of MMA and stiff Japanese puroresu to the table, which, coupled with their speed, makes them among the most highly-regarded athletes in the business. Their lack of charisma will always work against them, particularly if they ever find themselves in WWE, but they're the type of team who can get over on workrate alone, and would be an instant hit among fans who appreciate hard-hitting, fast-paced wrestling.
