10 Great Tag Teams WWE Needs To Sign

3. The Wolves

Davey Richards recently announced on Twitter that 2017 will be his final year as a professional wrestler before he calls it quits, and it would be a real shame if he and his tag team partner never got the chance to step into a WWE or NXT ring before he hangs up his boots.

Richards is currently on hiatus due to injury but alongside Eddie Edwards as The American Wolves (or just 'The Wolves' in TNA), they've been tearing it up on the U.S circuit for many years with their intense, hard hitting ring style.

While in the past, many would have looked at the two men's size and stature as a reason why they wouldn't make it in the WWE system, the new era of NXT and pushing wrestlers based on their ability would give the Wolves the chance to thrive. They even popped up in NXT in 2013 for a squash match against The Ascension but these two talents could achieve so much more in Full Sail in 2017.

The other stalling point on this one, of course, would be the status of Edwards and Richards' TNA contracts. If they have the opportunity to move on in 2017 though, NXT would surely love to bring these guys into the fold.
