10 Great TNA Matches You Completely Forgot About

10. Samoa Joe Vs. Rhino Vs. Monty Brown - Hard Justice 2006

A Falls Count Anywhere match, you may very well have forgotten this match happened at Hard Justice 2006. If anything, you should definitely try and forget Monty Brown's promo before the match, because it most definitely falls in that excellently terrible/terribly excellent category. Holy moly. Just watch.

Going back and watching this it is easy to forget just how well TNA booked Samoa Joe over that first year. I'll go into more detail on that later on, but everything was done to perfection at this point. He was still undefeated here over a year into that run, and after decimating the X-Division he had begun to do battle with the heavyweights.

This was a garbage brawl, a pure garbage brawl, but if you're going to do garbage you better do it right. The intensity on show here from all three men is immense, and they certainly aren't holding back int he slightest. Joe actually manages to break a wooden wall simply by giving Rhino an 'Ole! Kick, before the Man Beast gores himself through it moments later.

The crowd were hugely into everything from the start to the finish, where Joe plants Monty through a table for the win. Garbage, but beautiful garbage.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
