10 Great Wrestlers Who Couldn't Have A Good Match Together

5. Triple H & Brock Lesnar

Triple H has never been a true in-ring virtuoso, but his career is peppered with memorable classics against some of the best wrestlers to ever grace the squared circle. He remained a serviceable worker until as recently as March 2016, when he and Dean Ambrose tore the house down at Roadblock, but regardless, 'The Game' has always had a tendency to drop the ball and deliver a stinker or two, as proven by his rivalry with Brock Lesnar.

Their first big pay-per-view match came at SummerSlam 2012, and while there was some good psychology with 'The Beast' working Hunter's injured arm throughout, the slow pace almost put the crowd to sleep. Their feud renewed in 2013, with Triple H overcoming Lesnar in a miserably long No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania XXIX. Finally, the differences were settled inside a steel cage at Extreme Rules, in which Brock absorbed far too much damage from his 43-year-old opponent for the bout to be believable.

Latter day Triple H works best when competing against smaller opponents that he can bully with his size and power. This obviously wasn't going to be an option with Lesnar, who sold well throughout their matches, but isn't exactly best suited to playing the underdog.
