10 Great Wrestlers Who Couldn't Have A Good Match Together

2. Randy Orton & Triple H

Randy Orton's name could be slotted alongside a number of other wrestlers for the purposes of this list, such is 'The Viper's' propensity to under-deliver in a big spot. His matches with the likes of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and even John Cena often fell short of expectations, but his bouts against Triple H were always the most disappointing, regardless of when they took place.

Their first major collisions in 2005 were solid but unspectacular. From there, the duo wrestled a hideously overrated Last Man Standing bout at No Mercy 2007, then followed up with a lacklustre singles clash later in the evening. They let the fans down with another plodder at Judgment Day 2008, then stank WrestleMania 25 up with a heatless main event, though the crowd's burnout from the epic Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels bout earlier on certainly didn't help.

The fact that Orton came up under Triple H's wing as part of Evolution should've guaranteed chemistry, but they were never able to put it together whenever they went one-on-one. Perhaps it was a case of their respective slow, methodical styles cancelling each other out, but regardless, it's hard to say any of their many matches were legitimately great.
