10 Great Wrestlers WWE Must Sign For The Cruiserweight Revival

7. Fenix

Aside from the frankly terrifying Pentagon Jr., no wrestler has benefitted more from Lucha Underground's existence than Fenix. Aged 25, the Bird of War has become one of LU’s most popular performers, and his popularity is reflected by his success.

While still struggling to break-out of the midcard in his home promotion (Mexico’s AAA), Fenix was the first Triple Crown Champion in Lucha Underground history. He’s been part of some of the promotion’s most memorable matches, particularly throughout his feud with Mil Muertes, with whom he produced “Grave Consequences”: a defining, savage moment in LU history.

Fenix puts a twist on the classic luchador format by implementing some Japanese-style striking into his repertoire, and while his ring psychology could still use some work, he’s a supreme athlete who pulls-off the kind of moves that make your jaw drop.

Sin Cara and Kalisto have failed to fill the large void left behind by Rey Mysterio’s departure: Fenix may never reach Rey’s level, but he’s more than capable of stepping into his old spot on WWE’s roster for now.
