10 Great Wrestling Factions Who Held All The Gold
8. The Bloodline
Roman Reigns’ heel turn glow-up has been one of the smartest character rehabs in recent WWE memory, but equally effective if less flashy has been the work done with his cousins The Usos. Jey and, to a lesser extent, Jimmy, have been on one hell of a ride since Reigns returned, and now find themselves the company’s undisputed finest tag team.
We got here in a roundabout way, with Jey first challenging Reigns for the Universal Title, then subsequently being battered into submission by his cousin. Since then, the Usos have been attack dogs for Reigns, helping to keep the big blue strap on his shoulders and occupying a main event role by virtue of their union.
Meanwhile, the pair have become the most dominant tag champs for years, a shoo-in to carry the titles to WrestleMania and in all likelihood beyond.
The Bloodline is smartly named and put together to reflect the pedigree of these second-generation stars. It’s a group that serves a purpose in and out of kayfabe and has propelled stories while moving plenty of merch. Maybe one day Jey will rebel and go for the belt once more, but for now, they’re enjoying the spoils of their union.
