10 Great WWE Feuds That Never Got A PPV Match

4. Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels

Give yours truly a minute to stop sobbing.

Everything seemed to promising when Shawn Michaels smashed Daniel Bryan with some 'Sweet Chin Music' at Hell In A Cell 2013 for attacking his pal Triple H. That cost Bryan the WWE Title against Randy Orton and led to a face-to-face confrontation between the former teacher and student 24 hours later on the 28 October Raw.

There, Bryan declined HBK's handshake and put him in a submission as referees desperately tried to stop his rage. Anyone hoping that this'd lead to a mega-match between Bryan and Michaels on pay-per-view would be disappointed. Shawn wouldn't return to the ring until 2018's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

That tag effort was a return match nobody wanted, but just think how special Bryan vs. Michaels could've been in 2013. Daniel was at the top of his game as one of the best workers in the industry at that point, and Shawn would surely have been motivated to train his ass off in preparation.
