10 Great WWE Finishers Used By Less-Than-Great Wrestlers

2. Kevin Thorn - Dark Kiss

I loved Mordecai. Okay, I was like 17-years-old at the time, but the whole thing seemed immensely cool.

It was clearly heading towards a showdown with The Undertaker, but before that could come to fruition the wheels had fallen off and the light was out. The same man returned as Kevin Thorn on the reboote ECW a couple of years later, and seemingly hadn't improved his wrestling ability one iota. Ariel was hot though. Good lord.

Thorn did come with one of the meanest finishing moves in the business, mind, a move he called the Dark Kiss. Well, that or Original Sin, take your pick. It was similar to Nigel McGuinness's Tower of London, and whilst Thorn didn't seem to hit it with the same awkward impact as the Brit, it was still pretty darn devastating.

It was a Stunner assisted by the ropes and it looked killer. Thorn had the look, he had the finisher and he had the smokin' valet - it's just a shame he didn't really have the general wrestling ability to complete the package.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
