Batista and Brock Lesnar came through the same OVW class together. They had experience working against each other, and both had the look of top superstars. But Batista wasn't the same overnight success that Brock was in the WWE. Instead, Batista came to WWE in 2002 as D-Von Dudley's enforcer. Lesnar was main eventing pay per views, while Batista was propping up the mid card as Deacon Batista. Eventually, Batista's look and smash style built momentum. By the start of 2005, fans were fiercely supportive him, as he wowed in Evolution and then turned on and defeated Triple H for the World Title. But Brock Lesnar was already eight months retired at that point. If Brock had been around, then he'd surely have faced off against Batista in 2005, revisiting their OVW past and fighting to see who was the true Animal of WWE.
