Speaking of Randy Orton, he'd also have been a perfect candidate to wrestle Brock Lesnar in the mid 2000's. Just like Batista, Orton had gone up through OVW with Lesnar. The two had experience working against each other, an understanding that would surely transfer into WWE. Both men are also perfectly adapt at playing heel or babyface, so this feud really could have happened at any time in the last decade. At their peaks, it really would have been a top draw match. There were some brief nothing matches in 2002, but when both were headliners it would've been massive for the WWE. It could feasibly still happen now, with both men currently under WWE contract. But it simply wouldn't be as big as it would've been ten years ago, and now there's younger stars like Seth Rollins who Lesnar is more likely to match with.
