Another year, another Judgment Day, another Eddie Guerrero loss by disqualification.

This time his opponent was far more formidable, as Eddie's recent heel turn had taken his lifetime beef with Rey Mysterio to new emotional heights. After a friendly match at WrestleMania 21, Eddie had gone mad and cost the duo the WWE Tag Team Titles, and the two went at it once again at Judgment Day.

For me, this was their best match in a World Wrestling Entertainment ring. Eddie's heel turn in 2005 should go down in history as one of the best ever, as Eddie managed to turn the crowd against him just one year after being arguably the most beloved performer in the company. He threw himself into the role and was doing the best work of his long career.

The match was fantastic, because of course it was. It was Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio. This had plenty of call-backs to previous matches and a little bit of interference from Chavo Guerrero, before Eddie absolutely whomps a mid-air Mysterio with a chair for the DQ finish, leading to more wonderful matches.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
