10 Great WWE United States Championship Matches You Completely Forgot About

It may be a recurring theme throughout this piece, but the United States Championship has featured a lot of free TV championship bouts that feature two workers who surely can't have a bad match with each other.

Chris Benoit was as intense as they come inside the ring, and whenever he was facing off against someone every bit as prone to violence it made for great pro wrestling viewing.

Finlay is synonymous with intensity and fighting, so of course this was a lot of fun. Benoit and Finlay had a load of brawls during their days in WCW, but Finlay's relative freshness in front of WWE audiences gave this outing something of a bigger feel.

The two may have had a better match at Judgment Day in 2006, but this one should not be overlooked.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
