Whenever WWE needs someone to just go out there and put on a great show, they usually send Dolph Ziggler to do the job. With his amateur wrestling background, sweet theme music and cocky attitude, the 'Show-off' should’ve had an amazing run when he became World Heavyweight Champion for the first time back in 2011. But things didn’t quite pan out like that.

Having stripped Edge of the title for using the Spear while it was banned, interim General Manager Vickie Guerrero awarded the championship to Dolph Ziggler. During the coronation ceremony, General Manager Teddy Long returned from kayfabe injury, and booked a match between Ziggler and Edge to crown the true champion. The #HEEL lost, and his first reign was over after one measly hour.

Dolph Ziggler’s second run as World Heavyweight Champion was barely better than his first, but since being out of the main title picture, the ‘Show-off’ has dominated the midcard. Feuds for the Intercontinental Championship with the likes of Seth Rollins and The Miz earned Dolph critical acclaim and established him as one of WWE's greatest workers.
