For all the stick Roman Reigns gets for constantly being in the main event and challenging for the company's top titles, people seem to forget his runs with the WWE Championship were hardly even worth talking about. In fact, his first run as WWE Champion only lasted for a few minutes.

After beating Dean Ambrose to win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Title at Survivor Series 2015, Sheamus came out to spoil the party for the ‘Big Dog’ by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. It took two Brogue Kicks from the ‘Celtic Warrior’ to end Roman Reigns’ first world title run. Having Sheamus as champion proved to be worse, and Reigns took the title back — albeit for another brief reign — at TLC. The idea was to get the crowd to cheer Roman for being the underdog, fighting against oppression. It didn’t work though, and he ended up with a crap first title run and countless detractors.
