When Evolution imploded in August 2004, the feud between Triple H and Randy Orton over the World Heavyweight Championship was a natural and obvious direction. What was surprising was Orton's subsequent transition into a rivalry with Ric Flair.

At 55 years old at the time, Flair had been on the go for longer than Orton had even been alive, and the glory days were thought to have been largely behind him. Nevertheless, that didn't stop the legendary 'Nature Boy' from turning back the hands of time and jumping headfirst into a heated rivalry with 'The Legend Killer'.

Flair took a similar approach into the match itself and held nothing back when the bell rang at Taboo Tuesday 2004. Going just over ten minutes, the bout was reminiscent of a classic cage match of old - brutal and vicious with both men bleeding profusely by the time it had ended. In a match built on respect, both men had earned each other's by the time it reached its climax.

Astoundingly, the match also marked the very first official PPV main event of Flair's entire WWE career, making it all the more memorable and infinitely more historic.
