WWE’s consumption of many indie wrestling companies is a point of concern for some, but if it means there’s more cool stuff like this making its way to the Metwork, then there’s a silver lining to Vince’s attempts to tighten his stranglehold on the business. In a murky Floridian sports hall, witness two of the company’s finest current talents knock each other around a truly shoddy cage for a lengthy, hard-fought encounter.

McIntyre (here fighting as Drew Galloway) is somewhere between his first and second WWE runs in terms of appearance, but his credentials are on the rise, and he enters here holding the promotion’s top belt. It’s a match between Drew’s stoic hard nut and Strong’s cocky heel, and the two chuck themselves around the ring with abandon.

Strong particularly looks fantastic here, his enviable cardio on full display as he continues to chuck Drew around to the final bell. He takes the win after stomping the Scot all the way under the somewhat loose cage, resulting in a stoppage that the fans find unsatisfying, but which adds to the rough and ready quality of this no-frills bout.
