The wider wrestling world learned of Pete Dunne during January's WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament. He progressed to the finals through his brutish heel work, eventually losing to Tyler Bate. Though he currently works with WWE, he remains a champion on the independents, specifically with the red-hot PROGRESS promotion.

Dunne won the PROGRESS Championship in a seven-man elimination match, then defended it against Zack Sabre Jr. and Fabian Aichner. Who helped him achieve this success? The man who defeated him in the UK Tournament, Tyler Bate.

Dunne now leads one of wrestling's hottest faction, British Strong Style. It's no wonder that he reached the final of the UK tourney - his technical wizardry and viciousness is reminiscent of William Regal, the man with WWE's renewed UK expansion close to his heart.

As Dunne's notoriety grows, so will exposure to PROGRESS, and that's what being a champion on the indies is all about.
