1. Hulkamania Rocked By An Earthquake
In May 1990, The Brother Love Show was used to launch a huge angle involving Hulk Hogan. Coming off losing the WWE Championship at WrestleMania VI, Hogan needed the right place and opponent to begin his post championship run. Brother Love provided the setting while the opponent was a new menacing threat to Hulkamania.
Brother Love started the show by informing Hogan that Earthquake would also be a guest. However, Jimmy Hart came out first. While Hogan was preoccupied with Hart, Earthquake attacked him with a chair. Hogan ended up receiving three Earthquake splashes.
For several weeks, WWE teased Hogan’s retirement and pleaded with fans to show him their support. The feud culminated in Hogan returning to defeat Earthquake at SummerSlam. The angle helped reestablish Hogan as the top babyface and positioned him for another run with the WWE Championship a few months later at WrestleMania VII.
