10 Greatest Feud-Ending Wrestling Matches Of All Time
2. Sting's Squadron Vs. The Dangerous Alliance - War Games (WrestleWar 1992)
There have been many incredible multi-man rivalries over the years that have led to all-time classic encounters. Actually, some of the greatest all time feud ending matches have come as a result of that format. Yet the absolute greatest among them has to be the 1992 War Games match between Sting's Squadron and the Dangerous Alliance. Paul Heyman had managed to assemble one of the greatest collections of talent in WCW history and had them systematically destroy every one of the promotions heroes. Their primary target soon became Sting, who in turn would eventually unite the victims of the seemingly unstoppable Dangerous Alliance and convince them to end their reign of terror in a War Games match. It was the exact kind of scenario this match was built for and it is the absolute greatest War Games match of them all. Every mini-feud and story that built this grand rivalry would be paid off and played upon at some point during the match. Along the way, the Dangerous Alliance would maintain their air of invincibility until Sting's Squadron managed to finally unite as a single unit and watch as the mighty heel force eventually imploded within the inescapable cage. This match may not have created the multi-man rivalry blueprint, but it sure as hell built something with it that will quite possibly never be topped.
