It would be unfair to suggest that people don't give Shawn Michaels enough credit as a high-flyer, especially considering how beloved his Ladder Match with Razor Ramon remains.

But...dammit anyway, this guy doesn't get enough respect as a high-flyer.

The wonderful thing about the HBK is that his acrobatic stylings have actually evolved over time. In his early days as one of The Rockers, his moves were much more contained.

Sure, he'd constantly sling himself into his opponent, but when he did it was focused and quick. He didn't linger in the air before his dropkicks or flaunt the fact that he was climbing to the top turnbuckle.

Flash forward a decade and the emergence of his more egotistical, larger than life Heartbreak Kid gimmick saw him relishing every second of additional hang time.

He stretched his body out as far as he could when delivering splashes or crossbodies, making sure those with the benefit of flash photography wouldn't be able to take a bad shot.

Michaels also had a flair for the dramatic, a trait that added an extra layer of danger to moves fans had probably already seen in a different match that same night, but because nobody could sell an aerial spot like HBK, it felt much grander.
