10 Greatest Opening Entrants In WWE Royal Rumble History
8. Dolph Ziggler And Chris Jericho - 2013
The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is notorious for its surprise returns. But despite this, in 2013 we were still somehow caught off-guard by the unexpected return of Chris Jericho in the number two spot. Dolph Ziggler had been the first man out, and he promptly took to the microphone to claim that he was ready for absolutely anyone. Though I doubt his definition of anyone would have included a man that he himself had written off of TV just a few months prior. Still, it made for a nice bit of continuity that essentially extended their feud from the previous summer, making the opening exchanges of the Rumble match all the more relevant as a result. Make no mistake though; this was no throwaway return from Y2J. After responding to chants of youve still got it with a resounding I never lost it, baby! Jericho proved exactly that by lasting over 45 minutes in total. Unfortunately for him though, Ziggler would also manage to last that long, and it was the Show Off who eventually eliminated Jericho to close the curtain on this feud.
