10 Greatest Opening Entrants In WWE Royal Rumble History

9. Cactus Jack And Chainsaw Charlie - 1998

Quite a different vibe here, as we move from a pair of master technicians to a pair of hardcore icons. Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie had in fact been partners in the weeks leading up to the Rumble. But that soon changed when Cactus came to the ring with trash cans in tow, and Chainsaw with€”you guessed it€”a chainsaw. An impromptu hardcore exhibition ensued, as the two quite literally traded chair shots with one another to start the Rumble in unique fashion. Their antagonism was soon forgotten though, perhaps due to those chair shots, when Tom Brandi entered at number three. The eccentric duo quickly reformed their alliance to eliminate the unlucky Brandi. Of course, the partnership didn€™t last too much longer. Cactus eventually returned his attentions to Chainsaw, and tried to clothesline his friend/foe/both over the top rope, only to miss and send himself crashing to the outside in the process. It all made for an entertaining opening salvo, proving that there€™s rarely a dull moment when these two are together.
