9. Dangerous Alliance

In 1991, World Championship Wrestling was looking for a Horsemen-esque heel faction to revitalise their product. With Heyman at the core of the group, The Dangerous Alliance was formed.

Consisting of Rick Rude, Madusa, Bobby Eaton, Arn Anderson, Larry Zbyszko, and Steve Austin, the group was a key focal point of WCW programming from the moment they formed. Rude quickly gaining ownership of the United States Championship, while Anderson and Zbyszko would capture the Tag Team Titles and Austin would soon become TV Champion as well.

With every major title except the WCW Championship, Heyman (performing as Paul E. Dangerously) was one of the most prolific characters on WCW programming. The Alliance went on to provide some of the most entertaining matches in WCW at the time, including the legendary WarGames bout at WrestleWar 1992 - a bout that involved every member of the Dangerous Alliance and went on to receive a rare five star rating from the Wrestling Observer.

Ironically, the group began it's decline following the WarGames and members would begin to drop over the months that followed, including Heyman's own departure in November 1992. Nevertheless, the awesome faction ruled the roost in WCW in '92 and are one of the greatest, if not criminally underrated factions in wrestling history.
