10 Greatest Returns In WWE SummerSlam History

Remember that time DX drove to the ring in a tank?

With this year's August extravaganza come and gone, fans look back on the epic event that was WWE SummerSlam 2015. It was a night of incredible in-ring action, controversial conclusions and monumental moments, including the unexpected return of Mick Foley at the start of the show. Foley is only one of many men, however, to have made big comebacks on the grand stage of SummerSlam. As WWE's biggest pay-per-view of the year next to WrestleMania, it's logical to assume that the stars would want to make as imposing of an impression as possible by saving their in-ring returns for the biggest party of the summer, as been the case on countless occasions in the event's illustrious history. The tradition started with Hulk Hogan's anticipated comeback at the 1990 installment for his match against Earthquake, and since then, a vast number of Superstars have followed suit by making their comebacks to the company at SummerSlam. Whether it was for their first match back from injury or simply to make their presence felt, the returns of WWE's most celebrated competitors have been a SummerSlam staple for over two decades. The event's main event matches have earned in their place in the record books and rightfully so, but it's the returns that often steal the show at SummerSlam.
