10 Greatest Returns In WWE SummerSlam History

10. Hulk Hogan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqSMyWPfST4 Following his loss of the WWF Championship to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI, Hulk Hogan was put on the shelf after Earthquake shattered his ribs (in storyline). During his absence, Earthquake ran rampant on the roster and constantly called out Hogan, only for The Hulkster to not respond due sitting at home rehabilitating his injuries. It wasn't until the summer that Hogan finally resurfaced and was medically cleared to compete in time for SummerSlam, issuing a challenge to Earthquake at the event. For the first time in several months, Hogan stepped back in the ring at SummerSlam to the thunderous roar of the crowd to do battle with his much larger adversary. As expected, the match was nothing special. In fact, it was quite terrible because neither competitor was capable of producing a passable match. That aside, Hogan's long-awaited return made for a memorable moment as the fans were anxious to see him back in action. The match, despite the lacklustre payoff, was touted so heavily that it went on second-to-last before the WWF Championship match between The Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude.
