Jesse 'The Body' Ventura was on guest commentary for the previous entry, as part of the aforementioned Attitude Era nonsense was unnecessary convolution. The road to the SummerSlam 1999 main event was a particularly winding one, but at least the closer to one of the more underrated WWE pay-per-views delivered.
