3. Koko Ware Vs. The Masked Patriot - Continental Wrestling Association 1985

It's unclear why Koko (B.) Ware had it in for this masked jobber, which of course has bred the odd theory; Patriot pissed him off by taking the senior pro into the corner, perhaps. Or maybe this was painful retribution for a slur overheard backstage.

He may well have spat in his face for what he received as penance, but that first theory holds water. His body language shifted almost immediately. He exploded out of the corner in fury, launching an assault on the breadth of the Patriot's back. He was working with him - he wasn't marking up the vulnerable bones on his face - but it's as if he just barely contained a strong desire to overstep the bounds of professionalism. He threw the Patriot into the ropes and took the guy's f*cking head off with a lariat. The guy was out at this point.

Koko had to pick him up, with quite a struggle, just to beat whatever was left in him right the f*ck out of him.

He aimed shoot kicks in the back - this was as polite as assault gets - and dropped him safely on his shoulders with a perfectly-timed brainbuster. Still enraged, Koko rewarded his own restraint with a remonstrative slap to the Patriot's defeated face.
