10 Greatest Tag Team Matches In WWE WrestleMania History
4. RAW Tag Team Ladder Match (WrestleMania 33)
Do you even recall that going into this match, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were the RAW Tag Team Champions? Do you remember how this even became a ladder match? Literally, on the go-home RAW, Gallows and Anderson were attacking Sheamus and Cesaro with ladders, and Enzo and Cass also got involved. That was the context for this entire thing.
Does this sloppy buildup matter at all for this match's legacy? Absolutely not. Because it's not even about the match, but rather, this one moment:
Everyone more-or-less knew the Hardyz were on their way back to WWE. And everyone always fantasy books these big, "shocking" returns at WrestleMania or some other big event. But for once, it actually happened, and for once, it genuinely took people off guard, and you can hear that in the deafening pop.
From there, the four teams proceeded to have a crazy, Hardyz-style ladder match, including the spot of Jeff doing a swanton off one of his signature tall ladders, culminating in Matt grabbing the tag titles for the feel-good finish.
Simply for these moments alone, this match is a testament to how special "WrestleMania moments" can truly be.
