2. The Ultimate Warrior Ends Macho King Randy Savage's Career (WrestleMania 7)
Warrior balked at giving Savage a match for the WWE Championship, so Savage went ballistic (you may be sensing a pattern), and ambushed Warrior several times during his defense against Sgt. Slaughter at the 1991 Royal Rumble. In the end, Savage walloped Warrior with his metal scepter, costing him the belt. Later, Savage wouldn't make it to the Rumble match, after an irate Warrior chased him from the building. A 'career-ending' match was set for WrestleMania 7, underscored by Warrior wearing airbrushed trunks depicting the WWF belt along with the words, "means much more than this." Warrior survived five Savage elbow smashes, staved off conflicting advice from the "Gods above", and polished off a depleted Savage with a series of shoulderblocks. Savage turned face in the aftermath by tearfully reuniting with Elizabeth, which actually undermined a well-told story of retribution.
