10 Greatest Wrestlers From Quebec
9. Dino Bravo (Laval)
There were actually two Dino Bravos; the one in question here is the Canadian Strongman with the blue Fleur-de-lys arm bands.
Before going blonde in the WWF during the 80's, Bravo had wrestled for Jim Crockett Promotions, winning various territorial championships, both on his own and in tag teams with the like of Mr. Wrestling and Ricky Steamboat.
Back when Canadian Championships were an actual thing, Dino Bravo held them at some point. He was NWA Canadian champ, a title which was oddly also held by Sgt. Slaughter. Later on, he was booked by a McMahon to be WWWF Canadian Champion in 1979.
Bravo has worked with a who's-who of wrestling greats through three decades, from Harley Race and Blackjack Mulligan all the way to Hogan and Warrior.
During the late 80's, he also used the “world's strongest man” gimmick that Mark Henry has run with, although the records he set existed solely in storyline.
