Brock Lesnar hadn't wrestled in WWE for 8 years when he came back to WWE in 2012, and he hadn't wrestled anywhere since his controversial IWGP Heavyweight Title reign for New Japan Pro Wrestling. He had made a name for himself as a legitimate MMA fighter, becoming the UFC Heavyweight champion early on in his fighting career. He could have stayed there, continuing to make money as a dominant fighting machine.

Yet, he came back to a monstrous pop and embarked on one of the definitive WWE runs of the 2010s, having classic matches with John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns and holding several world titles over the course of the decade. Lesnar does feel like a massive deal every time he steps into the ring, even when he doesn't put the effort in. He is one of the most naturally gifted and threatening presences in the history of the industry.

His comeback might have resulted in a lot of divisiveness over the course of his run, criticisms over his part time schedule are very common, but Lesnar's return pop still tears the house down and over his last 8 years, he has created moments that will stay with audiences forever.
