10 Greatest Wrestling Comebacks Ever
8. Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch's comeback isn't as bombastic as The Rock or Brock Lesnar's but it's arguably even more seismic. Her comeback came before her runs as The Lasskicker or The Man were even distinct possibilities, but when she was Rebecca Knox, a retired professional wrestler who made a name for herself in the women's promotion Shimmer.
She retired in 2006 following a severe head injury and wrestled only sporadically in the several years following it, working primarily as a flight attendant instead of pursuing her dreams. Yet, she took a risk, in spite of the financial uncertainties and potential health complications and came back to wrestling, being talked into attending a WWE tryout and eventually signing with NXT.
It could have been devastating for her to take that risk, moving all the way to Florida for a developmental contract with no guarantees, in a business she'd been away from for years, but it paid off. The rest is history, Becky became the first woman to win in the main event of WrestleMania. It is one of the most inspiring returns to wrestling in history, and most people don't even know about it.
