5. Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero is one of the all time greatest professional wrestlers, one of the most versatile and charismatic men to ever step foot in the industry, capable of having a spellbinding match with almost any opponent. Yet, despite his talents, Eddie was suffering from addiction issues severely in the late 90s and early 2000s, experiencing several major accidents and eventually being fired from his job in WWE. His addiction issues lead to problems with his family and it seemed unclear if Eddie would be able to overcome this.

After several months of rehab, Eddie began to put the pieces of his life back together, working hard on the indies to prove his value and skill as a wrestler all over again, having excellent matches with everyone he faced and proving that he had defeated his disease. He got his family back together and was eventually re-hired by WWE, where he became World Champion after several years of being back, and remained an employee until his untimely death in 2005.

It might not have lasted as long as anyone would have hoped for but Eddie is eternally inspiring, his comeback still creates shivers even almost 15 years after his passing.
