10 Greatest Wrestling Logic Fails

3. Flexible Rules

To indulge in kayfabe for a moment, if you were a pro wrestler it would be very hard to get a grip on what you are and aren’t allowed to do. Rules and stipulations are an important aspect of the business - there are entire events set up around specific types of match - but the application of them is so inconsistent as to leave you forever on edge.

At Extreme Rules recently, Sasha Banks won a title from Asuka after her pal Bayley stole the unconscious referee’s shirt and counted the three herself. This was overturned, and quite rightly so! Except these kind of shenanigans - and worse - have been accepted without question so many times before.

Sometimes anything goes, and you can get away with cheating that has been broadcast around the world. Sometimes you lose the tag team championships because you utilised the wrong dumpster in your WrestleMania dumpster match (an especially odd time to become fastidious about rules).

At times this causes huge fan backlash - witness Seth Rollins’ DQ at Hell In A Cell for being simply too violent - but more often this is just logic cast aside to further a story.
