The early days of Sean Waltman’s WWE career can stand up to just about anyone’s. Debuting as The Kid, within a few weeks he scored a pinfall victory on big time star (and real-life pal) Razor Ramon, renaming himself The 1–2–3 Kid in the aftermath.

Waltman stood out at the time for his size as well as his youth. He had worked all over the world, including a stint in New Japan, and had agility and a plucky underdog spirit that quickly won over WWE crowds. This culminated in a match on Raw against Bret Hart that made the rookie look like the business, proving he could hang with the company’s top guy. It remains one of Raw’s greatest ever bouts.

Waltman was a useful and talented part of the company for years to come, but as far as his babyface run went, this was as good as it got. As a member of DX, the newly christened X-Pac was a heat magnet, effortlessly irritating as part of HHH’s stable.

On the induction of nWo, Waltman will be a two time Hall of Famer, which is quite the achievement.
