10 Greatest WWE Cruiserweight Wrestlers Ever
3. Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy shouldn’t still be wrestling. One of the great risk takers in the business, he got his WWE start in 1994 but got a push in 1999 with his decision to fling himself off ladders at any opportunity. With a backlog of sickening bumps, as well as some heavily publicised personal demons (which thankfully seem to be behind him now), it’s astonishing that he’s still in the business.
He very much is, though, and still capable of greatness. The younger Hardy is one of the most consistently popular performers in the game (witness the WrestleMania 33 comeback pop for the pair), and there was a time when crowds knew they were going to see something insane any time he set foot in a ring.
His tag team days with brother Matt boast some of the great car crash matches, with ‘Mania X-Seven’s TLC 2 a contender for all time greatness. Hardy then went on to a fantastic solo career, with a superb CM Punk feud and a classic TV match against the Undertaker.
His spells with the World title were brief, but all were memorable, and no less than he deserves for everything he’s given to the business.
