10 Greatest WWE Hell In A Cell Matches Ever

4. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

When Shawn Michaels returned in 2002 and began a bitter feud with Triple H, there was only one place that this heated rivalry was going to end up; inside Hell in a Cell. The two former D-Generation X teammates fought for the best part of two years before facing off in the punishing structure at Bad Blood 2002. Admittedly the actual match didn€™t make too much use of the Cell itself€”at least not to the extent that many matches before it had. But that didn€™t make their meeting any less violent. Chairs were used to bust either man open, and in what is quite the tradition for Hell in a Cell, both men lost an alarming amount of blood. This being a Shawn Michaels match, there was of course space for an elbow drop from a ladder€”driving Triple H through a table no less. And in the end it took three Pedigrees from the Cerebral Assassin to put the Heartbreak Kid away. By the end of the match, the contest had clocked in at 47 minutes and 26 seconds. Safe to say this was a Hell in a Cell record, and one of the longest non-Royal Rumble matches in WWE history. Few Superstars can claim to have laid it all on the line and exerted quite as much effort as Shawn Michaels and Triple H did in this one.
