This next match actually took place two years in a row, albeit with a few tweaks.

While their first match featured the Paul Heyman-managed Punk as the heel and Ryback as the babyface, their 2013 cell match saw the roles reversed with Heyman now teaming with the heel Ryback as part of a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. While their second Hell In A Cell is remembered by many WWE fans, that match failed to meet the excitement of Punk/Ryback I inside the cell.

After an unsuccessful stint as Nexus member Skip Sheffield, Ryan Reeves was repackaged and debuted as Ryback in April of 2012.

The Big Guy was undefeated heading into his first WWE Championship match in October 2012 and seemingly on the precipice of greatness. The challenger had so much momentum that many fans thought Reeves would not only defeat CM Punk and win the championship, but that Ryback would be positioned as the new face of WWE, an undefeated monster.

Instead, the 11-minute match saw referee Brad Maddox deliver a low blow to Ryback and fast-count CM Punk to victory. Despite several rematches and championship opportunities to follow, Ryback would never again regain the momentum he had heading into Hell In A Cell 2012.
