John Cena JBL Judgement Day 2005

Yes, it's the show where Vince choked out his daughter Stephanie (who refused to submit to a lead pipe across her throat, because she's so gallant), but when you get past that, it ain't bad. Top honors for the night go to the John Cena-Kurt Angle match in which Cena taps out to ankle lock, which will probably send a number of readers to WWE Network post-haste to see it for themselves.

A Cruiserweight championship match with Tajiri and Rey Mysterio makes for the expected tremendous opener, and that's followed by A-Train's best WWE match, a fine undercard showcase with Chris Benoit. Smackdown by the fall of 2003 was beginning to lose some of its steam, but a talented midcard managed to keep things above the current.
